Sales Engineer / Account Executive

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Location: Remote 

Summary

NVRC is seeking a Sales Engineer/Account Executive, who will be responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with both commercial and government clients. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth by understanding customer needs, presenting technical solutions, and managing the entire sales cycle. Success in this position depends on a thorough grasp of our innovative products and services, enabling effective communication of their unique value proposition.

Tasks and Duties

Conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and facilitating the entire sales process, from initial contact to contract closure. Solidifying client relationships and working diligently with sales teams to secure and renew orders, and strategically planning interactions to foster business growth. Additionally, providing after-sales support, planning product modifications to meet customer needs, and creating sales plans to drive revenue.

Job Purpose

The Sales Engineer/Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth and strengthening client relationships. This role involves identifying and acquiring new clients, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, and providing exceptional customer service. By leveraging technical expertise and strong communication skills, the Sales Engineer/Account Executive will ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to potential clients to build rapport and interact with key stakeholders.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements, produce quotations, and deliver technical presentations to explain product offerings.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely customer support, addressing complaints, and resolving issues.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude in IT hardware and software, to include servers, storage, software defined and hardware-based networks and power systems.
  • Proven ability to establish trust, promote collaboration, and serve as an expert advisor to clients.
  • Extensive experience successfully managing multiple accounts, clients, and projects, consistently meeting both customer and internal deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant technical IT-related certifications

Education and Experience

  • 10 years of relevant technical pre-and-post sales engineering experience, post Bachelor’s degree

Travel Requirements

10% – 25% travel

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens.
